a soft start, written down
A 30-day printable journal for soft starts. Six weeks. One prompt each morning. Answered before the day takes you. *Stands alone — the book deepens it but doesn't gate it.*

What's inside
Week One — Permission
For the morning the body wakes already braced. The first prompts ask less of you, not more.
Week Two — Listening
Reading the small empty spaces before the day takes you. The page makes room to hear what's already there.
Week Three — Regulation
Longer exhales, weight in the feet, a hand on the body — written down so the body can read itself back.
Week Four — Less
Subtraction as practice. What you stop reaching for, written next to what you let stay undone.
Bonus Weeks Five & Six — Lineage + Integration
For when four weeks isn't long enough. The morning practice ties to older lineages, then folds back into the rest of your life.
Print-ready half-letter
5.5×8.5″, prints 2-up on letter for home printers or a local shop. Lined pages, generous margins.
Day 1 — Permission. Before anything else, write down the morning you actually had. Not the morning you meant to have. The hour you woke. The first thing you reached for. Whether the body was tired before the feet hit the floor. There is no failing here — only noticing. The page is wide enough for one sentence or ten. The blank space is part of the practice.
Who this is for
For someone who has the Slow Mornings book and wants a place to put what comes up. Or someone who just wants a morning practice that fits on paper.
For you if
- You have the Slow Mornings book and want a place to put what comes up
- You want a morning practice that fits on paper, not screen
- You like the white space as much as the prompts
Not for you if
- You want a digital-only fillable journal
- You want every prompt mapped to a productivity outcome
- You're looking for a 365-day workbook
Why this exists
I made this because I wanted somewhere quiet to put what came up. The Slow Mornings book reads. This one writes. Six weeks of prompts arranged by the same themes — Permission, Listening, Regulation, Less, Lineage, Integration — with one prompt each morning, room to answer in your own hand, and lined space wide enough that you don't have to be precise. Skip days. Repeat days. Spill tea on it. The white space is part of the practice. Print it once and it lives by your kettle for the next six weeks. Re-print it every season, if you want — it's yours forever.
