Privacy Policy
Effective April 30, 2026
What this is
The Quiet Arrival ("we", "us") is a digital lifestyle brand operated from California, United States. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect when you visit thequietarrival.com or interact with our products, and how we use, share, and protect it.
What we collect
- Email address. When you join the newsletter or request the free Seven Days welcome.
- Browsing activity. Pages you visit, links you click, approximate location (country / region), and device type — collected via Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless, first-party) and the Pinterest Tag (third-party tracking pixel).
- Purchase information. If you buy a product, the merchant of record (Gumroad, Inc.) collects your name, email, billing details, and tax-relevant geography. We do not see or store your payment card information.
Who we share with
- Substack and/or Kit (ConvertKit). Newsletter delivery and welcome-series automation.
- Pinterest, Inc. Behavioral signals (page views, opt-in events, hashed email on purchase) sent via the Pinterest Tag and Pinterest Conversions API for advertising measurement and audience matching. This counts as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA).
- Vercel, Inc. Web hosting and first-party analytics.
- Gumroad, Inc. Merchant of record for all paid digital products.
Your privacy choices (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email hello@thequietarrival.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request for Pinterest Tag and Pinterest CAPI sharing. If your browser sends GPC, we will not transmit your interactions to Pinterest.
European Economic Area & United Kingdom visitors
If your browser timezone indicates you are visiting from a country in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we do not load the Pinterest Tag or any third-party advertising or tracking pixel until you explicitly accept via our consent banner. If you decline, no tracking pixel ever loads on this device. Your decision is stored in your browser's localStorage so you are not asked again. Newsletter sign-ups remain available regardless of your choice; only your explicit email submission is shared with our newsletter delivery vendor (Substack or Kit) for the purpose of sending you the content you requested. We do not currently target marketing or products at residents of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
Manual opt-out
You can also opt out manually on this device:
Cookies and tracking
We do not use first-party advertising cookies. Pinterest Tag uses third-party cookies for cross-site advertising; you can opt out via the link above or through Pinterest's own privacy controls.
Children
The Quiet Arrival is intended for adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy periodically. The effective date above will reflect the most recent change.
