Horizon Sofa Set

A sofa that survives a cat. And a kid. And a glass of red.

A 4-piece performance-fabric living room set — sofa, loveseat, chair, ottoman. Slipcovers come off. Tight-weave fabric resists claw snags. Stain and water resistant. Built for the household where the cat sleeps where she wants and the rules are written by her.

Cat-friendly furniture is usually a compromise. Either the fabric looks like a hospital waiting room or it costs $4,000 from a designer site. The Horizon set is one of the few options that's both genuinely cat-resistant and looks like real furniture. The performance fabric is woven tight enough that claws skim across it instead of catching. The slipcovers strip off and machine wash. Spills bead instead of soaking. The frame is solid wood — not the particle board most "couches under $1,500" are built on.

It's a real piece of furniture, so shipping is freight (allow 1–3 weeks). Slipcovers in cream/light shades will need washing more often than darker ones — Sunset Trading offers tan, gray, and beige variants. The cushions are filled, not sprung, so they read more "casual lounge" than "formal living room" — that's a feature for the kind of home this site is about, but worth knowing.

The sofa that lets the cat win.
